AArohan Foundation

Enhancing Livelihoods Through Employment & Micro-Entrepreneurship

In Hyderabad: Aarohan Foundation worked for proof of concept for innovative micro-enterprise creation for women, for Govt. juvenile home children and for the physically challenged.

Working with the Govt’s Vocational Rehabilitation centre , community leaders and corporate volunteers, through various initiatives like having bank accounts and earnings for juvenile home children, having a Business Plan competition for the physically challenged and as proof of concept funding microenterprises by winners, like a shoe-making unit, a tailoring shop, a bangle store and mobile snacks store using Govt donated Tricycles to PWD and so on.

In Bhubaneswar: Aarohan Foundation has been imparting vocational training for 20 years, of which last 13 years have been in CSR Partnership with Tech Mahindra Foundation (TMF).

The CSR partnership with TMF is coming to an end because TMF is withdrawing from the skilling space and concluding its partnership with NGOs across the country. In Bhubaneswar, Aarohan Foundation currently trains close to 300 students annually, with close to 70% placement rate, where our students get jobs with monthly salaries from ₹9,500 to ₹30,000 CTC, in various sectors.

Volunteers from corporate and academic sectors have consistently participated with us. We have also sponsored meritorious students from our batches for higher education wherever practical.
